Antoinette Scherz

Research Fellow & Permanent Member of the Board of Directors, GU Frankfurt am Main

Antoinette Scherz studied philosophy, social psychology and international law in Zurich and Geneva. She is in the process of receiving her Ph.D. (Dr. des) in Political Philosophy from the University of Zurich. Her thesis was titled “The Contribution of Normative Theory to the Institutional Design of Multilateral Democracy: An Evaluative Framework for the European Union”. During her doctorate, she visited McGill University and the Center for Human Values at Princeton University.

Antoinette's research expertise is in international political theory as well as in democratic theory in particular international legitimacy, institutional design, and the concept of peoples.
