Dr Ayelet Banai

Former Research Fellow

Ayelet Banai has received her D.Phil. in Political Theory from the University of Oxford with the thesis "Drawing Boundaries: Nations, States and Self-Determination".

Her fields of research are theories of self-determination, nationalism and diversity, theories of freedom, and the history of European liberalism.

She currently works on the relationship between self-determination and territoriality.

She is co-editor of the volume Social Justice, Global Dynamics: Theoretical and Empirical Connections (Routledge, forthcoming in 2011, with Miriam Ronzoni and Christian Schemmel).

Ayelet Banai left Justitia Amplificata in January 2014 because she has been offered a lecturer-position (assistant professor) at the University of Haifa, Israel.
